Game Feedback wanted

Hello! I Have recently finished all systems required for my game to work

However, i still want some feedback on the game before going through with the map building and releasing the game. You can check it out here

Thanks!

I ended up just writing all of this

Issues

  • NPCs fall over on spawn sometimes, and the spawning part is visible (dunno if this was intentional)

  • When approaching the egg with the wings (the green one and cost 5b robux whatever that means) the other GUI comes up for the other eggs, you may want to tweak the view distances for these egg gui’s.

  • The autodelete tab is already open, making UI navigation a bit more confusing to newer players if they don’t know how that system works even though it is straightforward.

  • All of the egg prices are set to “5B” but going to an egg like the green egg (which I just found out was called the “fantasy egg”) costs 199 Robux.

  • Two of the egg prices which I don’t know why but all of the eggs are called basic eggs and even though the price for them shown is “5B” they cost gems, except for the one on the far right for some reason…

  • Hoverboard is shown to cost “0 Robux in the shop”

    • Hoverboard GUI shows up even though I don’t own one??
  • None of the Shop GUI buttons work except for the exit button

  • I don’t know if this is intentional or not but there seems to be a noise that’s just playing in the background, it sounds like a car and after turning the music off I could hear it much more. Turning Sound EFX off doesn’t do anything either.

  • I’m not sure if this is intentional, but there is a popping noise that plays every time I tell a story.

  • So sometimes the pet hatching system works, sometimes it doesn’t and then I hit fn + f9 and saw this.

Complaints

  • I’m going to be completely honest, the gameplay here is pretty brain-dead, as you just kind of walk, hold down the button, and receive money… It’s not even because I wouldn’t say I like many simulators but I’ve seen some simulators out there that are at least engaging but you kind of just hold a button down. When you put this side by side with another “simulator style”, say a clicker simulator even though they are both brain-dead in terms of how you’re making a profit since kids are usually the audience of these types of games I’m sure they would get bored quickly of waiting for 3 seconds (pretty short I know, but by today’s standards TikTok kind of killed children’s attention span) opposed to clicking and instantly getting feedback from it.
  • This isn’t a complaint but I recommend instead of making an entire list of rebirth options, just make one button and then scale it from there. Don’t worry about this, realized that it just multiplied the number of rebirths you’re getting.

TL;DR: The game functions fairly well, but it isn’t engaging because holding down a button for 3 seconds a bunch of times is probably going to lose people’s engagement.

Sorry if anything I said harsh, but this is my honest opinion on your game so far. I do think that this game may have a chance out there in the simulator market, though it falls flat in terms of gameplay, I won’t lie though, the quality is decent. :+1:

Thanks for the feedback! After reading through your messages, most of the stuff you mentioned are intentional. Heres my response:

Yeah, i don’t know how to fix that. My plan is to add a loading screen so you wont see it.

The plan is to move eggs further apart, they are just there for testing reasons.

Really? i see this:

Yeah, the gamepasses aren’t on sale yet.

I Think this is the same reason, However the navigation buttons (Robux, Coins etc) seem to work

Yeah, this is the sound of the hoverboard. Ill have to fix how the sounds don’t work with it either

Yeah, its a firework sound effect. Might change it.

Do you mean the glitch where if you press e, t or r it doesn’t hatch?

Do you mean how it’s not very satisfying? If so, i see your point. Why hold a button for 3 seconds for a clap. Maybe i should make it more satisfying. If you have any ideas on how, message me.

Again, thanks for the feedback. I see your point now. No one really wants to hold a button for 3 seconds. Maybe i should make it instant but you have to press it 3 times. I don’t know. I Used a lot of assets from ShopDeHapy and tweaked them a lot. If you have any ideas on how to improve, please let me know! Although, I’m not sure if this is a good game because someone disliked it. Bit concerning!

Many thanks

Yeah, i’m aware. Its just the egg positioning.

Maybe you can anchor them for a second, make sure they are not platform standing, and also play an animation, though I don’t know if the last part will help.

It seems to be fixed, guess it was just a visual bug, BUT I do think that it was related to that one error I showed you.

No I mean only when I click the button, it happens sometimes but It may or may not be related to that bug that I showed you earlier.

yeah, my brain felt nostalgia when I saw them and now that you say that I remember watching that guy’s videos and he was selling assets.

Just because of one dislike and me giving you criticism on your game doesn’t mean you should put yourself down like that, I’m only doing this so that I can help you improve your game, and tbh it’s pretty dumb IMO for someone to even leave a dislike on an unfinished game, cause it ain’t finished!

Sadly I do not have any ideas, especially since I don’t work with simulator games like that. Hopefully though if you are committed to this game you can find a way to make it more engaging, but doing that for a “simulator” (I put in quotes because the term got changed for Roblox standards) seems to be hard for a lot of developers probably since the genre is full of unsaturated linear games that children play that rakes in money. Not saying you are one of the 99% of “simulator” developers that make the money games, but there are practically no simulator games except for one that I found before that is at least a bit engaging.

I Just found the old game that i used for coding the NPC Spawning. It has a different system for story telling.
