Hey everyone, so about a week ago I released my new Roblox simulator called Cube eating simulator and so far it’s only gotten a measly 16 visits. Ive tried to promote my game to a group of friends but there is no consistent player base at all. Im really starting to lose my motivation to make Roblox games if they don’t even get a chance to be shown. My friends said the game looked professional and that it would definitely gaining a hundred players but didn’t stick around and played only once. What should I do, I honestly feel like a failure and I’ve wasted ALOT of time and effort on a Roblox Game.
It takes time. Sponcer it and upload clips of it onto youtube and tiktok. Its gonna take time for it to gain players but it will at one point.
I would say the game icon and game thumbnail is not the best and using AI icons just makes your game look low quality, other than that the gameplay is rather fun and the UI looks nice, keep up the work!
Thanks I know alot of people say just sponsor or advertise, but I don’t even have enough robux to sponsor my game. As for Youtube and TIk Tok, I’ve seen other developers try to upload there own videos and basically no one watches them. But thankso much for trying to help!
Sponsoring wont work that much but if you get players coming back everyday it can gain players. Youtube and tiktok will just take time to reach a audience but at one point they will start putting your videos out
Oh ive actually never thought of that, I just used ai because number 1 its so much quicker and I wanted my game to look more professional. Thanks for pointing that out man, I really appreciate it
Gameplay is really fun! I would change the game icon to make it more catchy and to attract more players though, you can also try partnering with other start up games and could possibly get a player base. other than that its a really cool concept and you shouldn’t give up!
Consider asking smaller YouTubers with 1K+ subs to help you advertise the game. Give them special perms in game or something making it fun for them to play. That would maybe get you a start if Robux is the problem.
Maybe add bots or some form of singleplayer content, the game gets pretty lonely playing by yourself.
The gameplay is pretty repetitive, so they are right that it won’t be much fun without other players. But the worst: The game progress is not saved?! Like how do you expect people to stay in the game, probably playing alone, if they anyway lose any progress once they leave? Of course they don’t stay alone then! So:
- Make the game more fun with random drops like growing in size etc. that come every now and then
- Add something like bots for as long as the game isn’t active
- Save progress (!) as long as player doesn’t die, especially since you offer paid products
Screenshots of the game on the game page really help + video if you have the robux.
The game itself seems to work exactly how you interpreted it, when a game has no players online it can be difficult to stay engaged, I stopped playing after about 5 minutes as I was gaining mass virtually for no reason.
While your game has low player counts at this time, maybe try to incorporate bot enemies with different mass that roam around, it then gives the player something to work towards, hope this provides some insight.
Edit: I also noticed you had timed rewards, but the rewarded coins weren’t used for anything and I couldn’t see how many I had.
I will now list all things about your game!
First Look
First the icon looks like you yoinked it off of google.
The description looks good, but maybe add so more thumbnails that arent just the games icon.
The game itself
The map is kinda plain.
The game is kinda just slither.io lets be honest.
I think the game could use some VFX and maybe something other than just the cube just sliding around cause its a little boring
Last thing calling someone “the fattest” is a little offensive so maybe change that to something else
Other than that the game is pretty good so far! With some updates it’ll probably become more popular.
Edit
People love simulators where there is progression, I dont really feel like Im progressing much tbh.
Hi frodev, thanks for the honest feedback and I agree with everything that you and everyone else said
. However, do you think you can also check out my other simulator game. Thanks
Sure!
First glance
Using a picture of gameplay for the icon isnt as great as you’d think, usually using some form of GFX or something for the icon is much better.
Also for the description most kids dont like long strings off text so maybe do what you did with the cube eating simulator.
Actual game
These 3 things feel really big and a little annoying, maybe make them smaller.
I walked around for a bit but I couldnt really figure out what I should really be doing other then just picking the coins up at spawn.
The gliding does feel like really slow and I understand you probably make it faster later but like its just to slow.
And again figuring out how I can get up to the sky, I did figure it out but when you first start off you are unable to get up to the rings which feels disappointing.
Turns out I can get in the sky, but from just starting it doesnt seem like it. The gameplay is kinda boring just floating around, there arent many effects to make it satisfying to actually get the rings.
And thats all I have to say for now! Ill tell you if I find more
