Hey, whenever I publish my Roblox game through studio using Ctr + P (Publish to Roblox) it isn’t updating. I updated it about 10 hours ago and tried again just now, but no success. I also tried updating a different existing place and creating a new place but got the same results.
1/22/21 EDIT 1: Thinking about it more I think its just some of the scripts not publishing because some scripts I made changes to, have updated while others haven’t.
For example I made changes to the inventory system which shows up in both studio and game however another inventory which uses the same exact data shows up in studio but not the game (Which is why I don’t think there’s an error in the script itself but with publishing it).

1/23/21 EDIT 3: A little bit of an update; I added more scripts to the game in Studio and published it. The game updated and now has those scripts which are working every time. I’m still not sure what’s going on with some of the other scripts though because when I joined the game today it worked once, however, when I left and came back it went back to not working like usual. I went back to Studio to try it and it worked fine, so I went back to the game and it didn’t work. No bugs or errors are in any of the scripts.
(I also contacted Roblox, but they probably won’t do anything about it)
Try publishing it by going through file then publish to roblox. Is the output saying anything about publishing? Also, make sure you have allowed roblox studio to access your files.
If it is saying it was successfully published, I don’t know what to say. My best advice is to restart your computer, delete and download studio, or contact a roblox staff member that handles studio issues/bugs.
Sorry for the late replay, I updated the post with more information. Do you still think I should contact a Roblox staff member, or is it something I’m doing wrong?

It could be a possibility that the scripts are not working. But even then, if it is working fine in studio, then it is a bug. I would message a staff member that has something to do with development to get your question solved/
A little bit of an update; I added more scripts to the game in Studio and published it. The game updated and now has those scripts which are working every time. At first I thought I had a bug on my game till I figured it out when I saw some of my friends was doing the old scripts that had an old crawling animation and some was doing the new scripts that had the new updated crawling animation.
What I have done was getting on my other devices to test it out to see what’s was going on. Turns out if someone was on the game earlier before the new update, they will be running the old scripts that gotten deleted and still even run the old animation that I’ve made before I updated the game. When I got on a device that never been on my game, it was running the new update.
What I’m thinking is that roblox has a cache bug or a memory bug that’s not being erased when you update the game. I also noticed it was running both new and deleted scripts at the same time on one device that was causing the newer scripts to break. I used two laptops, one desktop computer, one newer phone, one outdated phone, one newer iPad, and one outdated low end tablet.
What I’ve found that if you delete the roblox app and reinstall it, the game will run the newer update on some devices but not the others. Then I found out if you shutdown all the servers manually from studios, some of the devices will start running the newer scripts. Then If I rejoin the game, it starts doing it all over again on some of the devices.
This is a big issue that needs to be fixed right away cause I can’t test my game out with friends without thinking if it’s my scripts or it’s the roblox bug. Also I’ve noticed that it’s taking longer to publish or save the game on roblox. Before it only took less then a minute and now it’s taking 3 to 4 minutes to publish the game.
That how long it took me before roblox updated the studio on my PC. I even deleted the studio and reinstalled it back on and still have the same issue. I haven’t tried updating the game from my other laptops yet to see if it’s faster or not.
Hmmm, now I’m thinking it could be the studios on my pc that is causing the bug. I’ll get back with you after I do a test by updating the game from one of my laptops to see if the game still has bugs or not. I’m thinking it’s not publishing the game correctly since it’s taking longer to publish the game now.
Sorry it took me so long to get back with you. I found what’s causing the problem about why the scripts are not updating.
Reason why it takes me longer to publish my game is that I added more game maps to my game which isn’t causing the reason why it’s not updating the scripts after I tested it by deleted the maps.
2, The scripts aren’t updating in the game when I go to file and click on publish to Roblox, but the scripts will update if I click on publish to roblox as instead.
I’ve done a lot of research, done tests, and also rewrote all my scripts before I found online that publish to Roblox has flaws on some devices.
Same happened with me…
I was trying to update the game, every time I went onto the main Roblox platform,
it was a version I literally wanted to destroy, how convenient…
I try multiple times and still it did not update the main Roblox platform, I swear, this
bug will ruin my game.
