Alright. I released this tower defence game a couple of days ago and am currently sponsoring it for a week. It’s been about two days since sponsors have been running, but I’m hitting an issue. Half of the players I’m getting have the cumulative amount of half a brain cell (respectfully). I’m currently sitting at a staggering 1.2-minute retention period because of them. How do I know my game isn’t just boring? Because players who are old enough to understand what they are doing play for hours. I’ve been watching the half-brain-cell players literally join my game, jump three times in a row and leave. Like, wtf am I supposed to do? I can’t target the audience that actually enjoys my game either, due to Roblox changing the ads. At this rate, the game is going to be passed by the algorithm.
Alright so I just played your game for a bit and realized very quickly the game is very linear and the turrets aren’t interesting. Look at TD games like Bloons or PVZ to understand how to do Tower Defense correctly. There isn’t branching paths or anything. The “dumb” players aren’t affecting your average, the high end of your players the “smart” ones aren’t actually playing long. For example me a “smart” player played for a bit and saw nothing that made me want to continue. Theres zero strategy. Plus, you’re heavily monetizing it, focusing on that instead of gameplay is oof.
just like @RobloxGamer2000ac said, the gameplay gets quickly boring (other than buying turrets → starting a fight → losing → repeat, there’s no other things to do). The game does not give me a reward other than a new sword and money which is the only currency. Also there isn’t anything that makes me want to come back play. The UI is also very limited like half of the buttons are just gamepasses. Finally when I was playing I saw a bacon joining, trying to attack with his sword the rats who were in my plot and got teleported to his plot. He didn’t try to buy turrets or start a fight, he immediatly left after. Basically the tutorial wasn’t really clear (tbh I was able to understand it but for most player the tutorial isn’t well explained). So for me the main issue are that the game doesn’t immediatly give a clear goal (imo) and that the gameplay gets quickly boring and doesn’t want to make me replay.
sorry if i sounded rude, it wasn’t my goal, your game has alot of potential, you just need fine tune the gameplay and the tutorial (also sorry for bad english)
