I can’t think of anything else to do at the moment but call for help, thanks for taking the time to look into this.
Edit 10/26/20: This is caused by one of our scripts going under. Doing some ridiculous amount of things getting high ping. That’s why I used correlation in the title! Weird coincidence.
Players are posting this morning that they are still having trouble playing. Player count is lower than normal giving credence that this is still an issue. I simply wanted to use the migrate to latest update feature, I think that’s the only out of the ordinary thing I did with this update.
I’m not aware of anyone else who has used the “Migrate to latest update” and subsequently had problems with players reconnecting.
Also to engineers, I tried resetting my update to the previous one, to double check it wasn’t something bad in our code. The problem persisted during those 10 minutes as well.
I have shut down the game entirely, and plan to wait about 30 minutes to an hour until opening it back up. My hope is that whatever is shutting down the servers will be fixed after this.
