I am hoping thay my game willl be able to go on the FP once released.
My games is weeks from done but I’m still struggling on how much to bid for Sponsoring and ads. My budget is between 10-20k. Do I need to bump it up, or lessen it?
There are some things I looked at but I’m not too sure about it.
I really want tips and tricks to make my game really successful.
You could use the current robux budget you have now to spend on ads, when the game makes money you can use the funds to advertise further. This only applies if you think this game has potential to be front page.
Do you think your game has potential? Would YOU play it if it was on the front page?
On ads, spend at least 5K when you release it, sponsors on iPhone/Tablet (spend a little more on tablets as it gives more visits) if they are mobile friendly.
Here’s some things that can make a game successful;
*Good looking thumbnail and icon.
*Good building and scripting.
*Maybe some gamepasses?
*Good looking advertisements.
*Original ideas, nobody wants repitition.
*Make it replayable and easy to come back to, story games die out quickly because they’re linear and have no replayability once you’ve seen everything.
To be honest, sponsoring the game seems to be the best option, but it has pros and cons.
Pros
A lot of users use adblockers(pc users), causing the advertisements to only be worth for people who don’t has adblockers, or can’t get one. But even with a adblockers, sponsored games will still appear!
Sponsoring the game makes it appear everywhere, even in searches, no matter how random the search is.(At least from what i seen)
Cons
Advertisements are more likely used, since how much better the ad is, the more people will click on it.
When sponsoring, you won’t be able to use any photo besides the game icon, making it get less attention from users.
Use the Robux on ads/sponsors, never expect games to go on front page immediately after release it almost never happens. Games gradually attract players. Ask yourself if you would play your game if you saw it on the front page, do you have a percentage of people that are attracted to games like that?
I would recommend that you listen to your players on launch. If players dislike your game it is for a reason. Make sure that when you advertise, no matter your budget, do not put all your eggs in one basket. For example if you have 10K, rather then advertising 10k at once, do 1k a day.
