Game was leaked onto Google Drive, not 100% if I'm able to request a takedown

I work on a continuation/remaster project for a 2016 RP game (After the Flash: Deep Six). This game was made uncopylocked by it’s original creators at the beginning of the summer which sparked our projects creation. We’ve added a large amount of content to the game since then (scripting additions/improvements, new areas, new weapons, etc.) that make set our project apart from the original game, yet we still use the original as a basis.

A disgruntled player either decompiled the game themselves or had someone decompile the game for them, and then posted it onto Google Drive. It doesn’t have any of our added scripts, which is all good. The problem is in the space we work in, other projects find no issue in using work which was stolen.

I’m aware of how to request a takedown via Roblox support, though this is a bit of a gray area I can’t find any info on. Am I able to request a takedown for the published leak, or am I just out of luck here?

I would suggest just shooting Roblox an email about it as you probably already have. Are you wondering if they can takedown a game that somebody published with your assets?

No, the leak is on Google Drive free for anyone who finds it to download. I’m not sure if the leak has been spread around or if any games have been using our assets.

Yeah, Roblox would not be able to take it off Google Drive, but you can definitely ask them to watch out for games or models that have your assets in them and see if they will do anything.

Not much Roblox can do at this point, since it’s off-platform, but as the the other user in this post said, just contact Roblox, and they should be able to keep an eye out.
