Three months ago, I released my horror game, and it has been an absolute struggle to grow. I have sponsored the game with about 30k Robux and have had minimal success. I’ve also created content on social media platforms that received a few views but didn’t significantly impact the game’s growth.
It’s a well-made game that started as a passion project, and I have been working on making it something greater. While I’m not running out of motivation, I am running out of ideas on how to grow the game. I’m considering trying SocialSeed (if anyone has experience with it, I’d love to hear how it worked for you). However, I also want to hear everyone else’s ideas. Feel free to suggest ways to improve analytics or other aspects you think might be lacking, such as retention or engagement. (I can’t provide the stats as they would be extremely inaccurate due to Roblox not providing analytics for places, where the main game is located.) Thank you so much - Graveyard Shift [Horror] - Roblox
First of all in the game description, Remove The Tags!
Tags show that you are desperate.
Second: This is a really good game! The lore is great, the design is great. (DUDE I GOT JUMP SCARED WHEN I FOLLOWED THE FOOT PRINTS)
Third: Advertising may not work, I usually use this game, its a free way to advertise your game and etc.
Note: if you still will advertise do it on weekends and make ur target mobile players
Fourth: Making a popular game takes time, I advise you to wait.
in the start where your being given a backstory, instead of just a black screen maybe give the player soemthing to look at like maybe a birds eye view of the map.
add custom hotbar because right no it covers the diologue
make the flashlight move with the camera and lightup where the player is looking, there should be plenty of tutorials on this
pls reduce camera sway by like half its way too much,
i could not find the last plank for the life of me, not sure how to fix that but yea
but i think the game is nice, good job. i would actually play it, but in my opinion the thumbnail doesnt stick out. “why would i play this game, when this other game looks the same but with way more players” is what would go through my mind. i really like the plot, it seems really interesting. im being very honest right now, i actually had fun playing this. definetly has potential. good luck!
First off, the thumbnail and the icon doesnt look attractive, remember that people just look at a game for a few seconds to determine if they wanna try the game or not and to be honest if i were a random guy scrolling i would not wanna try your game, consider changing that.
second, the game doesnt feel immersive, theres a bunch of small stuff that can be changed to make the game feel more immersive
and finally, i dont really play these types of games and im not sure what the generic approach is so i cant really compare your quality with anything, but from a personal view, when i saw the scary lady i just chuckled because it looked funny rather than scary.
(also consider removing tags, as again people have a few seconds of a first look at your game, the tags make it seem like a bad tycoon game)
