I am currently using an iPhone 15 with a Backbone controller. I am always spamming buttons while playing games or tycoons and when I am prompted to purchase a gamepass I accidentally accept it. The timer for buying the pass should either be longer or the button to purchase the pass/item should be something that you wouldn’t normally be using while playing a Roblox game. I like playing while I am away from home, but this makes it really frustrating when random gamepasses are prompted and I accidentally accept them due to the fact I am already pressing buttons to accept them.
I think the purchase button should be changed to something like select. This is very frustrating to lose the Robux I get from paying for premium on random overpriced gamepasses that I have no desire for.
I don’t know what to post this in and the community affected is niche but I am part of it and something should be done about it.
Edit: or at least have an option to disable gamepass prompts or an option to change the keybind for purchasing it.
I recommend being more cautious while playing with the controller, as there isn’t a definitive solution to this issue. Since gamepasses/dev products are part of the games you’re playing, the best solution is to play more carefully. If a purchase pop-up appears, try canceling it manually with your hand instead of using the controller. This approach should make it easier for you to avoid accidental purchases.
It is just difficult because I will have pressed the button to remove the prompt from view and then I continue spamming buttons and the purchase occurs. It is a flawed system. What about the older and way younger group of people doing the same thing? The pop-up appears too quickly to react properly on time.
I understand your frustration, as this often happens when playing in a hurry. However, the best solution is to remain attentive. Typically, when the pop-up appears, there is a 3.5-second cooldown period, which should provide enough time to cancel it.
