GamePassService API article syntaxs' 'game' inside a string

Howdy! In the GamePassService documentation/article, it can be seen here that the syntax of game is incorrectly being used here and when it’s being used in the URL, it shouldn’t syntax or highlight game inside the string of that code:

chrome_7Y0Dh2aQDQ

It would be nice if this was somewhat fixed and not syntax the value 1 and game inside of that code sample, as a developer and someone who browses the developer hub often, it would or I would format and add a code like this to the document:

local gamePass = "https://www.roblox.com/game-pass/1/myGamePass"

If possible, would it be nice if we could have a code sample like using this as a service for :GetService() and how to use it in certain situations? There might be an article on the developer hub but I’m not too sure about that.

Great catch! Hopefully it will be fixed soon. There also is already an example on the developer hub on how to use gamepasses. See: this article.

Agree, should be fixed because it just gives misinformation to aspiring programmers.

Thank you for this report! This is now on our todo list, and we’ll get to it as soon as we can.

It looks more like this is trying to show the appearance of a game pass link, so in truth what should be corrected here is the use of a code block instead of a blockquote. Putting a variable and a string would not represent what this piece is supposed to convey because it’s not a code sample.

Hopefully the editor who tackles this recognises this and doesn’t put it into a variable, rather removes the code block.

Converted it to a variable with a string.

Kidding @colbert2677. Just took a look and converted the link to a block quote to properly highlight the link while avoiding the keyword highlighting that comes with using a code block.

There’s already a link to this article and I’m going to avoid adding to much content to this page as its a legacy service superseded by MarketplaceService.
