I’ve been using gapfill for ages, and I am a fan of all of stravant’s tools, they significantly streamline my developing experience, however, recently gapfill has been acting up, and it has me extremely frustrated.
I am building a yacht, and to fill the gaps in the bow of the yacht, I used this plugin to fill the gaps. Doesn’t work anymore.
The gap in question:
Nothing happens when I try to fill it. However, I do get an error in output:
Are there any fixes for this? Or alternative ways to do it?
I messaged stravant, but he hasn’t responded yet.

Is the plugin outdated? If so, have you updated it? Have you tried reinstalling the plugin?

Yes, to both of those. The plugin is up to date.

Maybe you should try to use a different side of the parts, for example instead of using the front, maybe use the back sides, or maybe edit the settings of GapFill, maybe make the filled in space thinner?

I tried using the tops and bottoms, however that does not result in a smooth filling.

This is probably a dumb question, but are the parts both aligned on the same axis? Can you extend the other part to the other one?
Also, have you tried using resize align instead?

No, as I mentioned I am making the bow of a ship, meaning the front of the ship is tilted forwards, requiring a change of axis in each row of parts.
Yes, but the result is visually not pleasing

Its happening again.
Is there any fix for this???
The only way to get to know what the awnser is, it’s to ask the plugin developer himself about this issue.
The only thing I could guess is that the plugin is incapable of calculating properly the destinations and the triangulated parts that it needs to create.

I did, however there’s no response as of yet. My hopes aren’t exactly the highest that he’ll even respond.

I have the same problem but the arrows dont appear somehow when I hover the wedge.
The first arrow that is in the wedge is my mouse hovering
The other that shows the ui is the plugin currently being open.

This should really be fixed. Up to this day I haven’t been able to figure out, and it’s preventing me from building.
The owner of this plugin needs to update it, it’s detrimental.
man i cant believe to tell u but thats my dumb brain not working because i set the default cancollide false in default in the collide group meaning the plugin has to work with the default colliding

Oh damn Glad you’ve solved it though, but I literally use normal parts, weird stuff.
