General Build Support / Lighting Advice

(Q1)
Hello!
I’m working on a project and I’d like it to look really clean and professional. To achieve this I need to make the lighting as good as possible. I know stuff such as Future Lighting and enabling shadows as well as the sun rays, depth of field etc etc, but I want to know the best way to use them and if there are any other tools I could use to improve the overall quality of the game using lighting.
I’m not interested in downloading shaders and I cannot script at all.
The lighting will also be used on character models not just environments.
All help is appreciated!

(Q2)
Recently I played a game and I really liked how the lighting looked on the avatars. I wondered if there was a way I could achieve this look?
Here’s an example.

Example:

Thank you!

EDIT: I’d like to achieve the effect where there is a shadow on the edge of each face of the limbs and body parts. If you look at the space between the right of the torso and the start of the left arm you can see a shadow. I really like this lighting and it makes it look like a GFX. Hopefully this helps specify what I mean.

Have you tried messing around with the lighting properties? I’d suggest you set the lighting to future or shadow and mess with the lighting.
How high is your studio graphics? They may also depend whether you can see your detailed lighting or not - it makes the difference when doing lighting.

Good thumbnail and icon for sure.
