I really wish roblox would get rid of the filter on talent hub you can literally only access talent hub if your 13+ it just feels stupid

It seems as if “Discord” has all bypasses for it have been unblocked on the main site, including the Talent Hub, but you cant say “discord” still. But, still saying a discord TAG, like “Pixlz#1337” is blocked, you have to say “Pixlz 1337”
It’s worse if you have more random numbers, mine is allowed in most cases, but something like “Username 9274” is more likely to be blocked.
(2nd to last: attempted “dizzy cord”, last attempted “discord”)

Yeah totally makes sense like why they have a chat filter and not devforum but yeah to answer you it doesn’t make sense for the chat filter because that could possibly hinder when your applying on talent hub.
if anything talented hub 13+ already

It looks like this screenshot is from the chat on roblox.com and not talent.roblox.com. Are you experiencing the same issue on the TalentHub?

How can I test the filter? All of my apps are closed atm
Seems like people are able to say “discord”, but I dont have open chats to see the chat filter in specific

I have been able to reproduce this with Discord tags on the talent hub, someone sent me a Discord tag when requesting me to apply to their job post and the tag got hashtagged out.

It’s so dumb. I’ve tried to link some of my off-site portfolios and they get tagged out, causing me to be rejected. It’s the most annoying thing ever.

You can say discord, but can’t give the discord username. Doesn’t help that I can’t put it in my profile, without it getting moderated for linking off-site links.

The devforum has been completely fine without any filter. There’s literally no need for one on the talent hub. Either way, U13s shouldn’t be given access to it

The chat filter in general needs to be either completely revamped, or removed for 13+ users. Not a single 13> year old hasn’t sworn.

Can this maybe at least be provided with a safety setting which is on by default? The filter is really annoying, I get that it’s there for a reason but if both sides disable the setting they should be able to communicate freely. For additional safety maybe individual messages should be able to get reported as well if that’s a concern.
This is still an issue.
In the first message I said “Hi! I sent you a friend request, my name is Shawn_In_3D” which was blocked, then the following message “Hi! Name is Shawn_In_3D” was not moderated. It likely had an issue with “I sent you a friend request” which is entirely unacceptable levels of moderation for a platform we use for our jobs.

I am fully in support of this.
I haven’t used the Talent Hub for a while, but I had to use it recently and I was surprised by how awful it truly is. I’m talking about extremely buggy UIs that aren’t even optimized for all screen types, random 404 pages that appear for no reason (the page exists) and to top it off, the chat filter. I understand that this is a safety feature, but I believe if you use the Talent Hub then maybe you should know how to keep yourself safe on the internet. The Talent Hub is not a place where every kid should randomly go to to find friends, the Talent Hub is a professional space where game studios and developers of all sizes hire other developers to help with their projects.

Apologies for revive, but this issue is still a major problem. I’m simply asking people to add me on Discord so we can conduct interviews more smoothly because the Talent Hub’s messaging system is incredibly glitchy. Messages sometimes don’t send, and other times I have to refresh multiple times just to see the conversation. It’s ridiculous that these issues persist, especially considering many people rely on the talent hub as a source of income. Something needs to be done.

i dont even use the talent hub and this is insane
Really dislike the filter. I know internally you want is to use Shielded, but at least allow us to send discord links anyways as it just a superior platform currently.
