I just reported someone who I haven’t engaged with for saying the F slur towards certain people due to there sexuality, and less than 5 minutes, my account that I use for game development got banned for 1 day.
Now this isn’t an one time or my first time around this, it’s been happening every time I rarely encounter someone who should get reported and yet I get banned for 1 day. I am not exactly sure if it’s because of how I worded the description for reason of the report, and the bot saw that and thought that was the issue, or the bot literally picks anyone who reports and bans them.
I’ve contacted roblox support every time, I get banned for 1 day, and as expected they reply days after I’ve already served my time, asking about for more information as if they don’t have it already…
I’m looking too see if im in this boat alone, or is there other users or developers getting attacked like this and feeling like leaving the game and keeping your mouth silent is the way to go to keep your account safe.
If this keeps on happening then I’d just stop reporting stuff because even if you report the players it most likely will not do anything, only the auto-moderation is a little useful, but reporting on the other hand does most of the time, nothing, and has been proven, so I’d just ignore it, or join another server.
I’m guessing you most likely engage with said user which is completely up to you, if you even attempt engagement your already risking a double back due to you now putting yourself in a situation where you are discussing said thing, and I’m sure you don’t hesitate to mention that you reported them as well to their face. Once you report someone for something, you’re messages are now being read as well, and anything you previously said that can be deemed as unfavorable is now in the spotlight of moderation.
As previously shown in initial posting, you got reversed, its clear that they recognize you not saying anything bad, which I would consider a good thing.
