Getting high ping on roblox player

For the past two weeks, I’ve been experiencing unusually high ping on Roblox with no clear cause. Under normal conditions, I average around 20–40 ms, but recently I’ve been seeing spikes between 500–2000 ms most of the time. I’m based in Singapore.

The only reliable workaround I’ve found is using a VPN (McAfee VPN routed through Malaysia), which brings my ping back down to a stable ~20 ms or lower. I’ve also tried RoPro’s fast server feature, but even then the ping still jumps to around 200 ms.

My best guess is that Roblox is routing me to servers much farther away than it should, possibly outside of Southeast Asia.

Perhaps you could test this by joining any game with a feature that shows the servers location?

i am using a free ropro version so i cant test it out sadly.

i meant some games, like racket rivals for example. show you the region of the server you’re in, in racket rivals case this is the bottom left corner

it says singapore which is correct, i also check on reddit and other online forums and it seems like the problem is only happening to singapore only so safe to say that the servers in singapore somehow get worse.
