Getting started with UI design

I have been a builder for about a year and a half on the Roblox plat form and it has truly been amazing and fun. I found my self wanting to expand my skill and try out UI designing. I have seen some videos that help but all the software they use is like 20 dollars a month. So, is there any free software’s out there that I could get started one since Roblox studio doesn’t give you the best amount of options to choose from. Also, for a beginner what are some suggestions? I have went in studio and messed around a little to create a little UI (my first time). I can see it kinda has alignment issues but please suggest things to make it look even better I was gonna add GFX in the boxes but I am not a GFX artist so I cant do that. Here is a picture of my first UI:

Is this the image editing software used to create images for the UI? if it is, Paint.net is a great free software for creating and editing images. GIMP is also an alternative if you want a slightly more powerful editor or a Linux version, and is also open sourced.

There’s adobe XD which has a free version or a payment version. There’s photopea and many more.

If you are concerned about paying a subscription, I would highly recommend Affinity Designer if and when you can afford it.

It’s an all-in-one vector graphics design software and is well worth the investment. I wouldn’t bothered learning to use any other software if you can pay for this.

It’s targeted towards individuals who work professionally, although given the generous price, it could target hobbyists as well.

It costs a one-time payment of £50 or there about abouts. I used to use paint.net but I can never go back.

Affinity Designer is currently half price! £24 for a lifetime license.

You could use Paint net, GIMP or you could use online editors like PhotoPea or Canva.

You can actually go a long way with using Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides. I’d recommend PowerPoint, only for making simple GUIs, not complex for shapes.
