Getting your game out there and growing

In the past few months, I’ve spent tons of time creating a crossroads or brick battle game called Vehement (Inspiration from Kit Battle and Mortem Metallum). The game is about fights with players using weapons or interactions with the map. There are buttons on the map that cause explosions when clicked on. There are platforms that appear and disappear by a rolling ball rolling on colors.
I threw 147 Robux into a sponsor that is going on for seven days. The CTR and Post clicks are really low. People are playing my game, not for that long, my only problem is that my game needs player interaction for it to be enjoyed, and if there is no player interaction the game can’t be enjoyed at its full potential.
TLDR: How do games properly grow and what is the proper way of getting out there?

Thank you for your help and feedback. This has always been my struggle as a roblox developer. I can never get out of the almost nonexistent player count and the short amount of time spent in my games.

You can do it in many ways.

Sorry to break it to you but…147 R$ isn’t going to get you much clicks in the current ad system
In my opinion, sponsoring and ad making is one of the best ways you can get your game seen.
Sponsor your game on mobile devices will get you a good start.
Add a invite your friends button and perk for people who send an invite to play. Word of mouth is one of the best ways :slightly_smiling_face:
Don’t get discouraged if your game doesn’t get popular immediately!

I’m not expecting popularity immediately it’s just that I’ve been having the same problem for my first two games created and I didn’t want the third one to end up like the first two. Just having 10 players playing at once is my goal. I just wonder what is the point of a game having player interaction if you can’t pull players to your game

Well, you can do a suggestion box that sends messages to a channel in a discord server or something. Tailoring updates and new features in your game to what the players want is very important. Ig you just have to be patient, set up a dev discord or something to talk to players and such.

I just took a look at the game, and at first sight, don’t get mad at me or anything, but the thumbnails can be…improved. Instead of spending your roux on ads, hire a gfx artist for the icon and thumbnails. That will make it pleasing to the eye and people will want to click.

if you want a simple game icon I could try doing one hehe

You’re definitely not wrong on that. I should probably use something else besides MS Paint

I noticed your group and game. Your group is growing

You need much more than 147 robux, 1k-2k would probably get 10 concurrent players at one point if the ad (or icon) is good and the game is enjoyable.

Like others have said, having a discord server dedicated to the game where you can grow a connection with your players is very helpful. I have gained many active players and made friends through doing that. Good luck with your game, it seems very cool.
