GFX profile picture

Hello, I hope your day is going well!

I made this profile picture using Cinema 4D and Photoshop and I am looking for feedback on how it looks and to see if I can make any improvements.
Have a nice day!

This looks great! Though, maybe try having the outline around the character more of a white-ish color and have the background a color that contrast better with the overall theme of the clothes.

Love your design! One thing i recommend is adding a bit of light on the right side.

Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind next time!

Thank you, I will make sure I do that next time.

Erase some of the overlay on the face and the bend on the left arm almost looks unnatural, you can also see where the arm is overlapping on the torso I suggest not bending the arm so much and more it over a bit more
The colours of the background don’t mach with the render and it almost looks as if you have moved the head and not the hats. The outer glow you have used on the avatar is a bit off to be might be due to the background.
Overall, nice work

Thats some good GFX, one thing I would point out is the hair looks a bit ‘off’ set.

There is a shadow gap between the hair and the head, not sur eif thats intended or not. I like the neon glow around the character, keep making my friend :+1:

That looks very good for a profile picture, what I could recommend though, the arm bending is a little weird on the right arm, with the arm looking like its clipping through the torso, and the wave not being as smooth.

Also, a little bit more lighting on the avatar would of made this a bit better, and the colour scheme for the background, if it was more pink, would make this better.

I would suggest finding a rig and working with those, since they allow bending to be a bit easier and more realistic.

Overall, great job.

You should really look into the texture that you are using for the clothes as the parts where they turn transparent they create this strange gradient. This can be fixed by opening the texture and cutting off a few more pixels. This is best done using the pen tool in Photoshop.

The second issue I am seeing is that on the waving arm there is a shadow casting on the bevel of the arm. Which looks very unnatural, don’t be afraid to add more lights into your scene to fix those issues on single image renders. It might increase the render times but it will improve your overall look.

And one last tip is don’t be afraid to add more. You can increase the quality of the image by for example adding a fabric bump map to the clothing, adding a ribon to the hair etc etc. Use your creativity for this one

I’ve never used C4d but try improving on the lighting, And also the editing of the profile pic it self!

Hey! I love the background texture and the outline of your character. The text placement just feels off to me… maybe try and experiment with the text placement to see which works best? You could also adjust sizing if needed.

Hope I helped out.
