Hello! My name is Kreeves and I am a 3D modeler that is trying to learn as best as I can with building meshes as well as building maps! I wanted to know how my first map looked to everyone else as there can’t be any bias towards it!
Instead of just having the path end at the eggs, just take another part and scale it nicely so the eggs are at least on something instead of on the grass;
I don’t know if you have plans for the area below that crown but I would put the eggs there. They look out of place on the grass. You could also add different rotation to the portals so they fit in with the path better.
For your first map, it looks amazing! The only things I would change are the size and the lighting;
Having a map that’s so big makes it difficult and tedious for players to navigate through the game, so I would advise making everything closer to each other and making the map smaller.
In terms of lighting, I think that for a simulator/cartoony map it shouldn’t have many shadows (if at all) and should be very well lit. In the first screenshot, there’s a massive shadow stretching from the “sell” building to the fountain. I would remove shadows entirely if I were you.
Overall a very nice map, especially considering it’s your first!
Awesome for your first map! All I would do is shift things around in the 4 sections so they don’t all look exactly the same. Lastly, just add a few more vibrant colors to make things pop, maybe a small lake in one of the sections. Great job!
