The following item, W Inc Designer Sunglasses, was incorrectly placed offsale during a flash sale, when it had only been timed for a discount. I vaguely remember this being onsale for years and this happening as I was hoping to buy it a little after the discount and saw it went offsale instead of returning to it’s normal price.
If I had to guess, this thread is probably referring to W Inc. Designer Sunglasses. These shades went on deep discount alongside several other items during a sale years ago, and Roblox used timers to indicate when the discounts would end, which would also place the item off sale temporarily until Roblox put it back on sale at its original price.
It’s hard to say if it was intentional or not, but when it was last discounted, it was not placed back on sale after the timer ran out.
To be fair looking at evidence online this is the first decent bug report I’ve seen when it comes to people trying to get items onsale and offsale.
They did just go off sale and roblox forgot to put them onsale lol after the discount
I was going to keep it completely disclosed, but this seems to be a known issue.
Dated webpages show the description lists this sale as discounted, not timed.
Some might question the wisdom of releasing a new line of designer sunglasses in December. Regularly $9500
Any update on this? I’d love to see this item come back on-sale, as it clearly was not intended to go off-sale, and one of the staff simply slipped up putting it on a timer (assuming they thought that was for the price, and not the status of the item’s purchasability)
Assuming this was closed, they had solved the issue without just being clear to us as of why they did it. Who really knows what their way of thinking is when it comes to stuff like this.
You won’t fix it, but thankfully you do acknowledge that it is an error. Is there a particular reason why this error won’t be fixed? I know a majority of players have been awaiting it’s return since they were under the assumption it would be going back onsale.
No, they don’t acknowledge that it was an error. I have not seen them say so anywhere.
Roblox was/is able to take items offsale or make items go limited at any time for any reason. It may have been unusual, but clearly they do not want to bring them back on sale.
You’ve submitted the exact same report before, which isn’t even allowed on the DevForum.
In that report, a staff member said it was intentional, and now a different staff is saying the exact same thing here — so it’s pretty safe to say this item is NOT going back on sale anytime soon…
