Whilst building in Studio I sometimes switch the axis from global to local or vice versa using CTRL + L. The problem I have encountered is that this doesn’t work when using the axis move tool on models, so to move them you either have to rotate the model to the global axis, move it to your desired position and then rotate it back, or move it on the global axis with two of the nubs. It would be very helpful if an axis switcher for models, similar to the one with parts, is implemented.
The only problem with this would be how it would calculate the rotation. Models themselves have to CFrames. When you rotates a model, you are rotating all the parts seperately. I would love what you are asking for but they’d need a way to monitor your model specific rotation.
If you mean ctrl + L for models, the server would need a way of keeping track of model rotation. That being says, when you rotated a model it seems to already know the default position buy the looks of the bounding boxes.
So a plane model is angled 45 degrees in any way. You want the axis-move tool to keep moving that plane on that 45 degree axis. You use qCmdUtl for that, by using ‘Move First’ tool. :>
