As you know me, I am the person behind “Untitled Trucking Game”.
Today I was making Localization for it. I added Czech and Chinese, but since there is Czech, should I also asd Slovak? It’s not like Czech and Slovak are different languages and we can understand each other easily, but should I also support Slovak as a Slovak?
In my portfolio, I said that the more localization you have, the more people who come and play your game.
If you are looking to make your game popular (which basically every wants that to happen to their game), then go for it! If I were you, I would put every language (not every single language, but the most popular, but I exaggerated to show you my point) in your game so more people will play.
If you think you will one day publish it, take my advice. I would do that if I were you.
Technically, it doesn’t really matter to add localization for that language if a lot of players are playing from said country. Lets say somone Chinese plays the game, and picks the Chinese language, and LOVES the game! Most likely he will refer the game to his friends, and his friends to their friends, and so forth. How do you think the most popular games get so noticed so quickly?
Please excuse any gramatical mistakes I made, or any false accusations. I tend to do that a lot.
My point exactly. There shouldn’t be a debate if you should add new languages or not. Especially if said languages are spoken is not so many countries.
Don’t worry, I was not talking about if you’re the one who’s debating. I was talking as in general. Only question I got is why you add your socials and stuff if you already got them in your profile information.
If people need to contact me, or need to know my mention, or my roles. Good for buisness, and helpful to people who dont really know or people who are new.
Trust me, only 10% of all people of this forum look at your profile. Even less will actually do something with the information you put at the end of your replies. This forum isn’t formal anymore. Private messaging also exists here, so there is no reason for someone to go iver your social media and discuss there. I mean, just a thought after all
