I want to make a game like this: it includes all three of the American government branches, but there is no political aspect to the game whatsoever. The words “Democrat” and “Republican” would only be used when you “campaign” to become the President (obviously you’d win like 80% of the time). The rest of the game would be you working like a person really does in the government.
My question is: Is this allowed, or will it get taken down?
Including the words Democrat and Republican is already going to be political enough where it might get taken down.
You’re more than welcome to try, but just be wary that you are risking the possibility of your game getting taken down. Especially during a bad time like this one.
I mean campaigning for president is technically political, you could probably do it and nothing will happen. But probably not a good idea to do it now when the U.S. is in an unrest with the current election.
A played an educational game that taught the player about the branches of government. You played the role as the president and your objective to to pass laws and deal with issues, delegating tasks to various parts of the government. They didn’t use any party names whatsoever.
If you make it educational I don’t think there are any issues. You can make it a ‘Left’ or ‘Right’, instead of explicitly using those words instead. Then again you can make up your own party names. You can get away with many things if you pose it as educational anyways, so I wouldn’t worry about anything.
