I’ve said multiple times that shaders have many uses, not just graphics and oceans. You keep denying it with no clear reason.
Text-rendering and animation can most definitely benefit a huge amount from shaders.
I’m constantly pushing the boundaries of the engine, and I often end up applying tons of micro-optimizations as well. But this isn’t a competition — I merely pointed out that the system you showcased was not the level I was talking about, since it’s literally impossible to create such simulations on the CPU.
