(Let’s try this again. It seems Roblox is silencing us since this post isn’t allowed in Development Discussion despite meeting all of their supposed requirements, redirecting us to this less frequented section.)
I don’t understand how Roblox moderation is this flawed.
The description and shouts of a group I co-own with 38K+ members keeps being falsely targeted for “scamming” despite being relatively brief that has no kinds of scamming whatsoever. This has happened twice or thrice now, so it is now a pattern. It could be the result of some petty user reporting the group for false reasons or Roblox messing up in some way somehow.
As a result, the group owner, a friend of mine, was banned from Roblox for 1 day while our group is celebrating our fifth anniversary by rolling out updates daily. It’s no overstatement to say that issues like this have negative impacts.
He contacted Roblox about this hoping to appeal or dispute this ban and description removal or at least receive an explanation, receiving nothing helpful. Atrocious.
We’re currently reworking our description to be different, but it’s quite difficult when we have no idea what the actual issue is, if any, as well as the fact that our description was simple enough already, and Roblox may just target it again.

This is probably one of the more brazenly bizarre examples of moderation against a group I have ever seen. I’ve had my share of bad moderation, but this… is it even possible for moderation to be even more wrong?
The lack of transparency from appeals doesn’t help either. Has to be AI. No reasonable person working in moderation would make the conclusion what you’re doing is “scamming”.
Coming back to this Roblox at least made a citation in their ban note. Its total nonsense, but it is a citation.
With my case Roblox locked by group wholesale without citing anything nor deleting the description, name, ranks, or assets. Not only is Roblox moderation total kafkaesque hogwash, its unequal. If Roblox moderation is going to be nonsensical, it should at least apply that nonsense equally so we know its fair in its nonsense.
