Group is Locked Unexpectedly

So I noticed my development group that I have owned and led since its creation in 2012 (over 13+ years) was randomly locked and inaccessible recently. I noticed this last night and the week leading up to yesterday everything seemed fine. I did not see any messages, notices, alerts, emails, or warnings regarding the sudden lock of the group on both my holder account and my main account. I’ve already submitted a support request and advised my community to do the same because that’s over a decade of history for us just suddenly gone. I have also messaged a developer relations member to see if anything else can be done.

I am curious, did anyone else encounter a similar issue recently? This is extremely alarming and honestly really disheartening and concerning that this can happen so suddenly, especially with no notice or warning.

I could really use some help/clarity on this, especially from a staff member. Thank you!

have you tried emailing roblox support or calling them?

I emailed them last night, waiting to see what they say. I didn’t think they also had a number to call as well, do they? I’m wondering if anyone else ran into this issue as well.

Same exact thing happened to me in november. No notices or emails or anything. I contacted support and the group got unlocked a week or two later, but for some reason it was an entire month before they actually replied.

I’ll give them a call, thank you. In the meantime, hopefully I can get some light shined on this situation.

Oh man at least it was resolved, did they ever tell you the reason behind the group lock? And did you reach out to anyone else like developer relations to see if they can do anything at the time?

No, I never found any emails or messages or even anything in the reports & appeals section of my main or holder accounts, and the response in the support ticked just called it a “moderation action”

No, although I don’t think I had considered that as an option because my group currently isn’t used for development or ugc or anything.

At the very least we deserve to know why and if it was a mistake or not. That’s just really disingenuous and scary. The group has one or two UGC items but it’s mostly for developing a large project of mine, this is the project: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuczh9xRHCY

I appreciate all the info you’re giving me though, gives me some hope I can have this all resolved and behind me.

Thank you! It’s a passion project of mine, hoping it can still see the light of day after this situation is resolved.
