Group Name "is too long" but it is only 15 chars

1. What do you want to achieve? Keep it simple and clear!

I want to create a group name called: “RandomX Studios”

2. What is the issue? Include screenshots / videos if possible!

It says the name is too long, when it is only 15 characters.

3. What solutions have you tried so far? Did you look for solutions on the Developer Hub?

I can’t post on the bug forum so I have come here. The group name does not seem to be taken.

I tried it on my device and couldn’t replicate

(Notice: I did not make the group, I did not take the name)

Maybe you can use another device to test?

Just as a note, I attempted to put blank unicode spaces unsuccessfully about 7 times before this happened (because of the dumb rule where Roblox does not allow for same group names, claimed by 0 follower groups for years). Could I be shadowbanned from creating groups because of that?

I solved the problem! Thanks for the help and consideration, 9to5z.

For anyone else running into the same problem, the problem is not actually the title, but the description. The limit says 1000 characters, but anything above 980 causes the issue for some reason. Just keep your description characters below 980.

Let’s hope that Roblox improves the error messages at some point to avoid this type of confusion!
