Group one-time and recurring payout update

As a Roblox developer, it is currently impossible to ensure that developers pay commissioners the amount of robux which is being offered to them for a certain task to be completed or a developer deciding to remove a commissioner’s percentage after the work has been given to them.

Possible solves:

1. Introduce a new ‘Permanent’ and ‘Temporary’ recurring payout:

When creating a new ‘recurring payout’ to a user in a group, the owner will be given an option to make it permanent or temporary. If the owner sets the recurring payout as ‘temporary’, they will be able to stop the recurring payout at any point. However, if they choose to make it ‘Permanent’, when they request to stop the recurring payout, it will give the user (that is being paid out to) the option to stop the recurring payout or decline it being stopped. This will stop people from removing the % owed to a commissioner without their knowledge.

2. Introduce a new ‘contract’ or ‘commission’ based group payout.

Similar to how Fiverr works, Roblox could create a contract or commission with a commissioner with a defined set of rules on what they want to be given. The commission will then be timed and after the time has finished, the developer will be able to either:

  • Accept the asset and give the robux
  • Request changes to the asset and hold the robux
  • Decline the asset (reason must be given)

If Roblox is able to address your issue, it will make commissioning much safer for developers and will decrease the chance of people being scammed out of robux after completing a commission.
