Group Payout Permission

As a ROBLOX Developer, it’s currently impossible to allow others to make payouts for my group, which I’d like them to be able to do, as we have co-ownership.

I’m asking if the ROBLOX Web Devs could add this as a group’s permission, to allow developers to let co-owners of their group pay out robux.

I would support adding this, but I think it would need to be heavily controlled and it would need to have a features such as the ability of the owner to set a limit on how much of the funds another user can take so that users can’t abuse their ability to take funds.

I do seem to remember a while back that an admin said that groups were next or close to next on the list of things to be revamped, so hopefully they will add something like this.

Support, I don’t have bc so my friend made a group for me. He’s the only one who can do the payouts so i have to ask everytime.

I’d support this along with a ton of other changes to group administration. Groups feel very limited right now.

I hope they get updates soon, other than the ability to make group payouts and group games they have not changed very much recently.

Support indefinitely, this is a recurring issue for me in which I need someone to log on in order to pay me, when a co-owner should be able to do it just as easily.

I agree that this should be possible, as Dave mentioned that one of the ideals for ROBLOX was for businesses to be able to run on it, but it’s being requested for the wrong reason here. Nobody should be giving out fund distribution permissions because they don’t feel like logging on – that’s insane. We see countless instances of mass exile/demotion, yet it would be a good idea to allow that to happen to currency which can be cashed out for real money?

If you’re requesting to be able to give this permission to others: Funds don’t need to be distributed the minute someone asks. As long as you can get on in a reasonable amount of time, there’s no problem. If you’re unable to access your group weeks at a time, you probably shouldn’t be the group holder.

If you’re requesting this to be able to be paid, look into finding better individuals to work for. If your group holder refuses to log on for weeks at a time, you’re going to have a lot more trouble than timely payments.

That’s true, I support this because of the original post, I think that Roblox should allow group co-owners to control payments too.

Support!

Co-owners on ROBLOX are not the same as in real businesses – there’s no way to be held accountable for any abuse of privileges. Users may say they trust their co-owners, but so do owners who promote admins only for them to exile everyone. Keep this in mind when considering giving others payout permissions.

True, that’s why I would want a way to limit the funds a user could take, just like there’s an option to let people have the ability to exile other users. The reality is that co-owners don’t really exist on Roblox, I think that an inherent problem with the way groups function on Roblox is that there is a huge amount of trust issues within groups. In many ways having one owner who is trustworthy that manages funds is probably a better system…
So I guess I’m kind of questioning adding this feature now lol

I don’t see anything wrong with this. This is something that should immediately be implemented into the next web update for ROBLOX.

I support this idea.
As co-scripter for a game run by @Digital_Boy this would be a VERY useful feature for us.
Digital leads a very busy life, and as such has a hard time getting on in time for payouts.
I’m sure there are a lot of devs out there in a similar situation that could use this.

Any update on this? I need this feature

This was allowed for a period of time? I assume it was then stopped due to accountability issues as mentioned above…?

Bumping this because I would really like this so that I don’t need to log into my group’s holder accounts in order to access the funds. Additionally could we also have the ability to actually directly transfer Robux from our own accounts into group funds?

I think this is useful if the group owner gets terminated, so you can still work on the game.
