I noticed within the hour that when creating new shouts the authorship of the shout does not update anymore. This is broken on any group and for anyone who views the shout.
The audit log reflects the correct authorship.

jokes aside, this is a pretty bad bug and should be noticed very soon hopefully

Yep, I also just acidentally did this, pls fix it could be used for bad things.
I discovered it too a couple of minutes ago. The issue needs to be fixed immediately since it could get abused badly.

This is an extremely severe issue and Iâm surprised it hasnât been addressed yet.
Currently experiencing the same issue. It will show âunable to send group shoutâ for the first time. When you click on it again, it will send the group shout with the wrong user. Group Link

would this happen to have been caused by guilded? just a speculation.
I have been experiencing this bug as well. I have no notion as to how this could have been caused. My theory is that the Guilded announcements system might have somehow broken the traditional group shouts, but I have no idea. Itâs even happened on groups and accounts that arenât even linked to Guilded.

Great! Just tried updating group shouts recently and came up with the right account (although if I tried to repeat a group shout containing the same message it didnât change, not sure if thatâs still an odd occurrence though) Thanks again!
