Copperfield Recreational Laboratories - 2.15 “System Rewired”


Welcome back Gartonians to another exciting new update that expands from 2.1 “System Rewired”. For every major release we are creating an update name to go flow with the narrative and theming our updates.


:building_construction: Facility Enhancements

Hallway redesign: Explore reimagined areas with increased detail and immersion, including major updates to the entrance, coolant room and safety shelter.


Dummy Reactor Redesign: The Dummy Reactor has been redesigned, bigger everything!



:dna: New lab: Genetic Printer

Genetic Printer: Introducing a not so groundbreaking technology (because everyone has been doing this) the genetic printer! (Laymen’s term: You can clone yourself!). Generate duplicates that follow you around and mimics your messages!


:zap: Advance Power Management

Sector D2 Power Management Overhaul: Experience a new layer with upgraded power breakers and dynamic generator mechanics including refuelling and temperature control system.



:studio_microphone: New Voicelines and Subtitles

Voicelines: Fresh and new VoiceOver content courtesy of Taraz. (Long gone from using Text to Speech!)

Subtitles: New subtitling system makes it easier for users to understand facility wide announcements.

:scroll: Small Changelogs

Now for the boring excess details, this is all of the smaller changes we’ve implemented.

Reactor Changes

  • Added reactor pressure system (blowout, relief valves included),
  • Reactor blowout makes the shutdown unusable, otherwise is simply an adjusted version of the glass breaking in the meltdown events,
  • Redesigned status UIs (Replaced the “Power Multiplier” with a catalyst info screen, combined some screens and added a few new ones),
  • Added a system startup button to the pre-start,
  • Adjusted some alarms of the annunciators,
  • Redesigned terminal UIs to increase readability

Meltdown Changes

  • Replaced the old TTS voices with a new, non-TTS voice,
  • Some adjustments to ending text (mainly in shutdown fail),
  • Reactor access door now requires power to be usable (does not affect emergency door to bunker room/surface exit),
  • Reworked screen shake effect and added a toggle for it in the preferences menu,
  • Bunker badge (“Deadly Avoidance”) is now awarded when the explosion happens, rather than when the bunker is entered by the player,

Misc Changes

  • Sector D1 Redesigned.
  • Reworked the time cycle (also added functional clocks),
  • Dot matrix displays reworked, functionality remains mostly the same as the previous version,
  • Most moving things (elevators, doors, etc.) have been reworked to use client tweens,
  • Added random voice announcements at random intervals,
  • Implemented subtitles (can be toggled with the preferences menu),
  • Added a cloning lab, the “genetic printer lab” to the experimental labs
  • Added moths
