From a basic playthrough of the game, here’s a couple things I noticed:
- Loading Screen
Perhaps it’s just my connection, but the loading screen seemed to take a while the first time I joined in. The Roblox capture button showed that the main spawn was already loaded, although that’s probably just because it hides UI elements.
- Pets
This is more of a minor detail. I don’t really understand the need for pets in a game about guessing characters, foods, etc. I can understand it in something like one of those strength training games or something where using one can increase your stats at a faster rate, but I don’t really understand it in this game. May I ask the reason for the inclusion of it? Do they provide any benefit to the player? I’m on a mobile device so the UI is rather small, but after putting my glasses on it looks like the pets offer a slight bonus on coins and gems earned.
On a side note, I love how the Roblox filter let me name the bee “Autobot Scum”.
- Categories
Honestly, no complaints with the categories. It’s nice to see a game with a variety of things to guess, not just characters. From what I saw in game, you have 7 different categories, each with 3 difficulties: Animals, Countries, Emojis, Flags, Food, Instruments, and Sports. iirc that’s 21 indicidual levels, which isn’t bad. But… where’s the characters? The game is titled Guess the Famous Characters. Is that a planned DLC? /j
- Difficulty and play time
While I’m not going to play through all 21 or so stages just to get an estimate of how long it would take to complete all of them, I would guess it could take 10-20 minutes for the average knowledgeable player to complete a category. I admittedly got stumped while doing the Animals category.
(Also it would’ve been funny to have “sandvich” count for the sandwich. TF2 players probably would enjoy the reference, but I also dunno how many TF2 players play Roblox)
- The Codes System
I’m not going to say that the game shouldn’t have this. What I will say though, is that having the codes be case sensitive seems a bit… I dunno, I guess inconvenient on platforms where you can’t just copy and paste a code from the game description. Also, 2000 gold or something for the first code? Not too bad imho, though maybe it’s because I’m broke and don’t have the robux to buy currency.
Overall, I can’t say the progression is bad. It’s easy enough to just Esc+R+Return if you get stuck, so you’re not stuck on a stage unless you’ve completed every other one. In terms of content, there’s a decent amount of it from what I saw. Like I said, the only thing missing is the titular famous characters.
I’m gonna have to try and complete the game, but for now I just played enough to think up some feedback. I wish you luck on your game!
