Note: This is not official, just some things that can help you with using this forum.
So this is a guide I have put together to help new members get around the forums, and post constructive topics and replies.
First off, you really need to know the rules.
The rules
The main point that is really annoying to staff and users of the forum, is when people release information from this forum. On the rules, it states “Do not share screenshots or content of other member’s posts outside the forum”. Really, please do not share our content. That includes Everything on this forum.
Aside from rules, which are not what I want to go over, here are some things I suggest doing when posting.
Bug Reports
What the staff members need is a reproduction to make the bug happen, of course, there are some that happen, and are hard to reproduce, no problem. Just post as much information about that as possible. They don’t want to sit there for hours trying to figure out how it happens, they want an easy way to reproduce it, and fix it. It helps improve speed of bugs being fixed, and will probably help speed up new updates.
- Post a title that is relevant to the actual bug.
- Make sure the description is simple, and gets to the point, give all necessary information
Also, try to get a reproduction as a place file, that is as simple as it can get, so say player:GetFriendsAsync() does not work, just have a place with 1 script that calls it, and shows that the bug happens.
Exploit Reports
It’s sometimes risky posting exploits that are publicly visible. Instead of letting everyone see it, use this format for helping you create hidden topics to the staff only. I also suggest making topic title irrelevant to the actual exploit, this is so that people can’t really know that you are fixing something, and its pretty obvious if you put like “Catalog duplicating bug”, so instead of raising questions from people, post a title like “Pies falling from the sky”. Unless its one that should concern everybody, that is what I suggest, not mandatory.
Put a Gif in the img tags, can be anything, just make it funny. The CPGA (Confidential Post Gif Association) want gifs. And it’s sort of annoying seeing a blank page to the users sometimes.

Feature Requests
These are suggestions, and I recommend posting detailed suggestions, with thought out ideas.
Unofficial RBXDev group
If you want to be in the RBXDev group run by Whimzee, then visit This Topic, and post your Roblox username. A manager of the group will add you in. It’s not official group, but all members are verified in the group.
Voice your opinion
Don’t be afraid to voice your opinion, you’re not going to be banned, just don’t be a jerk. If you have something to say about a feature that you think needs changing, give suggestions how it can improve! Just don’t be like “That looks like crap.”. Instead try doing something like “This is a bit hard to use, and here is why blah blah. Also some ideas”.
Development discussion
Yes, you can ask for help, but don’t rely on the forums to get help, we’re suppose to developers here, sure not experienced in all ways, just don’t ask literally everything. Also, say you have a problem, explain it as much as you can. Try doing it yourself, if you really can’t figure it out, and are stuck, then personally, I would say you should ask for help.
Signatures & Avatars
Please, don’t put gifs as your signature, it’s distracting. It’s ok to put a non-moving image, and/or some text, just keep it nice.
Avatars, I personally prefer if people didn’t have animated avatars, but people don’t really go against that as much.
More?
That is all I can think of, if you have suggestions/ideas for this topic, or want to ask something from your fellow devs, go ahead!
Further questions, then don’t be afraid to PM me.
Thanks for your time, hope you use the guide.
