When i pick the weapon up it is sideways. Why is this?

Try playing around with the properties of the Tool object. I forget the exact names but there’s properties that define the location and orientation of a tool when held.

I’ve had the same problem, and it was to do with the Grip part try rotating it differently as that’s what worked for me.

Or find the attachment and rotate that.
