Gun Game Devlog #1

It’s pretty hard to give opinions on what could be changed since I don’t know what type of aesthetic yall are going for.

Some things I can point out are, the colors can be better, inconsistent padding, inconsistent typefaces, and excessive empty space in the ammo ui. Additionally, I see is how the ammo ui has a clear distinction from the ammo and magazine, which is lacking in the health ui.

In my opinion, I feel like it would be better if the stamina bar had no text and was smaller, its literally the same size as the health but I feel like players arent gonna keep track of their stamina down to the digit.

We are gonna remove these bars for the moment, we will add them in the futur if needed. And i don’t think that any good fps game has a stamina bar :skull:

My modeler & Co-founder @Twin536 just made the Background for the Menu. Please give us some feedbacks on what we can add!! Here are the things that are already in:

  • Deploy Button
  • Blur
  • Menu Camera Moving On Mouse Moving
  • Transition Effects
  • Character Changes depending on Player’s Avatar
  • Character Animated (Idle)

Well, it looks good, but here’s some stuff you can do.

The Ui Buttons are a bit too high up, I think it would be better if it was at the bottom. Plus, the background looks a bit plain, maybe you could add some texture to the background, give the building a more complex design, and change the lighting to a lamp or chandelier.

Thanks for the feedback! But I wondered by what exactly looks plain in the background. Is it the boxes or maybe gun stands? Or is it the interior?

Well, its 2 things: The color palette and the spacing. The two small boxes in the bottom seem out of place. The gun shelves seem to be in the wrong corner, and the boxes are bunched together.

Me and my team were working very hard on the optimization of the game, here are the changes we have added to the game:

  • Remade MP5 Animations on Blender (gonna redo it on every guns)
  • Optimization of the quality
  • FOV System
  • Settings frame (Shadows, Texture, AutoReload, FOV and AIM_FOV)
  • Stats Frame (Total Kills, Username, User Icon and Total Death)
  • New Ui’s
  • Menu ui’s with effects + sound effects + Smooth music
  • Admin Panel functional

This gun game looks great so far! Good job on it! How long do you think it’ll take to release? And how long have you been working on it so far?

It’s been over 3 weeks we are constantly working on this game. We do not know when the game will be releasing. We are still trying to see what we should be adding, and how the game should be working.

I really like this game!

I’d like to potentially work on this game or become a tester and give feedback!

Like it! Only complaint is that you cant click M, as M isnt something you click with your mouse (unless you have the keyboard thingy visible on screen), so I think it should probably say: ‘Press “M” to return to the menu’
