Gun mesh texture turning gray

Hello everyone! I recently found a AKS-74U mesh that perfectly fits the style of my game but it wasn’t split up into multiple meshes so I could animate it. So I split it apart in blender and exported it to my game. But for some reason when I carried over the texture from the original to the new one the texture didn’t show up and it just made the gun pale gray as seen below:


I thought it might have been because the original creator was banned and it was a bug so I reuploaded the texture and nothing changed. Could someone help me with this?

That’s most likely due to the UV map being changed. The texture for the old weapon uses the UV map for that mesh, but when you inserted the split meshes you created new UV maps for them since each mesh has their own UV map. The texture would then need to be applied to all meshes to get it to look how it was.
