I used an algorithm to generate a wood texture, and applied it to a stock:

What do you think? How can I make it look better?

The wood looks kinda raw, I’d like to see it polished.

Here I wasn’t too sure but here’s a go at it in making it polished:

The rings are blended, grain a lot less noisy and more smooth. I was not sure if I should include the many small dark streaks seen in the grain here:
