Hello everyone!
This is the official current watch, or attention list, for the group Hacker Roleplay, as of late January 2018, with all the information available about known programmers or rumors that have caused havoc in the Roblox community, details about them, and how they should be treated.
Note that there is no hacking on Roblox or related websites. There has not been a hack on any system in the Roblox website that did not come from the client side since late 2012, and Roblox Corporation is a multi-billion dollar company who has the power to stop any illegal activity from occurring.
This is simply a list of the most common-spread misunderstandings or groups of programmers that have fallen under groups that either may not apply to the ToS and are not fully reviewed yet by moderation and staff, or programmers who have went under the misunderstanding of themselves or a fictional character they started causing influence in the Roblox community.
Section 1: Old Accounts
Myths about old Roblox accounts started between developers and the Roblox YouTube community in early 2016. The original rumors were that of a creepypasta, citing that programs, ghosts or hackers have taken over the account and will hack one user a day. This has been abused by exploiters that have been banned outside the Roblox platform for life, as well as some YouTubers who have misunderstood or profited off the concept for money.
John Doe - John Doe is a Roblox moderated account created by David Baszucki, Erik Cassel and fellow early Roblox or DynaBlocks engineers. It has rarely ever been used and comforts to the use of early ID’s for the purpose of database notation. It is NOT under the influence of anyone but Roblox in a very restrictive manner.
Jane Doe - Jane Doe was a pair account used to test the friend system and badge system for a while along with John Doe. Little to no information is known about this account, but the same settings as John Doe apply.
TheC0mmunity - TheC0mmunity was a well-known exploiter back in 2015 who managed to hack himself in to several friends lists with a couple other major off-site programmers on the Roblox platform. This was available to be done by everyone using a simple bug, that has been patched in under 6 hours. Roblox further removed TheC0mmunity from the friends list, and deleted his groups as a result of possible scamming or trying to fool users into believing the myths for profit. The account, after being revealed to be nothing but a normal person controlling a wide known myth, was banned around the middle of 2017, along with many other co-workers that might have been exploiters.
Section 2: Watch Accounts
BloxWatch - BloxWatch was a scheme account never to be proved of exploiting, terminated for possible misleading of users. It was featured in a couple YouTube videos in late 2017 and early 2018 and have been misunderstood as a “hacker” by the community due to being a leader of a large myth group. Nothing of the group remains, and everyone claiming to be a part of it should probably be ignored, or reported, if seen doing anything that might be harmful to other users for the promise of profit, gain, or fame.
SoulWatch - SoulWatch was a supposed “follow up” to BloxWatch done by (supposedly) a few off-site programmers and YouTubers. The original story of how they came to be is nothing but an underdeveloped creepypasta, and the accounts associated with the SoulWatch brand are purely a game. They are under investigation by staff.
Please note that this thread will be archived for further purposes by the managers of the Hacker Roleplay official group, in order to combat possible rumors of “hacking” in the Roblox community, and spreading a widely positive message, encouraging young users to learn scripting in a safe, friendly, and fun, environment.
