Hair Designs (Suggestions and Help)

Hello!, I’m practicing in blender, I still have a lot to learn, I tried to make hats in Roblox but it was super difficult to give them a texture, so I went to practice with hair, the texture issue was much simpler, I wanted to show you the ones I made (so far there are only 4, although the first one is very horrible so I’m not even going to show it haha), the point is that, until now, I made them all with tutorials, but from now on I would like to make them without seeing a tutorial, with the things I learned, but I wanted you to give me some advice.

Needless to say, I feel they are very square, but my main headache is also… what head do I use to do my hair? Is there one that is recommended? Also, my other problem that I have The thing is that when I do it in blender and export it to Roblox, the hair looks gigantic, too much, I wouldn’t know the reason.

Any suggestions are totally appreciated, thank you.

for the flatness… just uhhh grab a vertice or two with proportional editing on and move it up until its round maybe?

Also reference images!!!

If all the hair strands are facing the same direction in the uv map, then the texture shouldn’t be a problem.

Thank you! That helped me :), although I still have many doubts about what I did, I made a new hair, but it turned out terribly horrible, I would need advice D:

I recommend following tutorials on how to make hair for non-roblox characters. A lot of the same methods are used to make hair for Vrchat, Zepto, the Sims (maybe), and pretty much any stylized character.

There is another software you could use, V-Roid Studio (free) and its method of making hair is slightly different but it is almost always(probably) gonna be round at the top.

here’s some hair I made using the free presets

Hello!, thanks for that advice, I always watch tutorials on how to do it in Roblox, maybe I should look to simply make hair like you said, maybe it will help me more and I will learn some other technique.

Regarding V-Roid Studio, I can’t guarantee that I’ll use it, but thank you very much for telling me, maybe I’ll take a look, since right now I have a lot of programs to program and so on, I’m a little overwhelmed, I prefer to focus on blender, but still Like I said before, I’m going to take a look.

Regarding your hair, great! I wish mine looked similar xD
