Recently I purchased the “Ice Fire Ram Skull Helm” and over time noticed that the scaling of the particle emitter is uneven, as shown in the image:
In the images from the screenshot it is pretty noticeable, even more when the game’s lighting is dim, that the left side (according to the camera’s perspective) has an uneven / wrongly scaled particle emitter coming from the skull’s horn.
PS:
Please note that the blue fire particle in the center of the item is unrelated to the Ice Fire Ram Skull Helm.
Also note that the left blue fire emitter is the wrongly scaled one, the right side is on its normal scale.
Expected behavior
Since the left side particle is - or at least looks like - scaled, I expect that both of the blue fire particles can be even at the same height and size. I spent a considerable sum on this item and I’d like to see it fixed.
Hopefully it’ll receive a fix, however for this being right about the 6 month mark who knows what they’ll do. Whether they fix said item or not, but we can only hope, as an owner myself I’d personally like to see a fix to this.
They sadly won’t fix it. They can’t make fixes for items that are 6 months old. If they make an exception for this one, others would question and justify that if this one can be fixed, so others can too—that would create a mess to the point that they would be more busy if not much more.
Thank you for fixing this , was a bit worried that it wouldn’t be handled to the 6 months.
In regards to the 6 months, is it 6 months from the report or 6 months from the time the reported is handled?
if an item has stylistic choices that a large number of users don’t like (e.g. Fragmented Robloxian v1), they would be open to changing it as long as the request was submitted within 6 months.
For actual bugs, where the current state of the item does not match what Roblox intends, such as a texture not loading, they would fix it regardless of how old the item is.
Maybe in this case, Roblox intended for the horn particles to be symmetrical and considered the prior state to be ‘bugged’. Or maybe they saw that the report was submitted just 5 days outside the window and decided an aesthetic change would be ok. Ultimately, they have some discretion if they think they can make things better for the users.
