Hat not attaching to dummy

so I’ve been having this problem with putting hats into my dummy (i also hope this is in the right area)

  • What I want to do is put this simple item on my dummy but it won’t work!
  • The issue that I’m having is that whenever I drag the hat into my dummy it doesn’t go to the dummy’s head but just stays in the position I spawned it in. I don’t know if this is a new Roblox update cause I haven’t developed for 1 month or so.

  • I’ve looked on the dev forum but I still can’t find any answers.

please help if u can :frowning:

I am having this exact issue. I am trying to put them on a MrGrey character but whenever I save studio and reopen they reset. I am not sure how to fix this. I am trying to figure this out as it is for gameplay.

Is the AccescoryType set to unknown by any chance?

Seems to be the new layered clothing feature since all the other AccescoryTypes are clothing.

Hello

This is something I can look into more for you.

Suggestions

  1. Try making sure the mesh isn’t anchored in anyway.

  2. Make sure it’s grouped with the model and in place we’re you want.

  3. Trying welding it to the head if possible (This is not recommended)

  4. Try resetting some studio settings as this sometimes is the case.

  5. All mesh properties are different from parts. Compared your dummy to another dummy with a mesh hat and look at it’s properties.

Conclusion

This could be cause of the new clothing update which I will look into. I will get back with you when I figure out something .
