Some users of my game have been reporting being unable to see due to the lighting becoming randomly much darker due to haze becoming much darker for some people. This is not a coding error. In all the screenshots the lighting settings are the exact same but in half the haze is much much darker. The issue only began to impact certain users frequently recently. The half of the screenshots that are darker are from a friend who experiences the bug other half are me.
My specs:
CPU: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core i9-13900KF
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090
This is an issue i also experience in my game. We have a day night cycle but i have triple confirmed its not script related. Below are two examples captured by players in their game screenshots.
Experiencing the same issue. It’s extremely annoying and makes games look extremely dark sometimes. I don’t know whether this is a graphics thing or something else but it’s definetly impacting games.
I’ll probably be in charge of fixing this bug for now. in the meantime, would anyone have an rbxl file I can repro this on when pubishing to Client? I’d also love to know both of your operating systems and if it is a steady repro or if its happening once then never again for some people or things like that.
Seems like this rbxl file to publishing can be reproduced by you fairly easily. Could I get the rbxl file, your device specs, operating system, and whether or not this happens in your current client and studio version.
I would also appreciate more information also from @Bawxol and or a repro to get this fixed soon.
I can’t provide a repro since I personally wasn’t experiencing the bug. I only get reports from random people occasionally saying they have the bug. From my experience I’ve seen it happen to people more often if they have a low spec system. I wish I could provide more information but just with how random it is, its really hard. I do feel like its been happening less frequently though?
