Honey Comb Cafe - Training Guide
This guide is to aid all of the trainers, hosts, shadows, and spectators throughout any training sessions at Honey Comb Cafe with an in-depth view of how training sessions should be operated.

Rank Responsibilities

Trainees: All Low-Ranks (Starter Cashier - Junior Cashier) excluding Senior Cashiers can attend training sessions and be trained in hops to rank up to the next rank!

Staff Assistant: This rank may supervise and shadow a trainer at training sessions, helping out the trainer with anything.

Training Team & Supervising Team: At this rank, they can do everything a Staff Assistant can do but they can also train!

Management Team+: These ranks host training sessions, but also do everything else!

Pre-Training Procedure

BEFORE attending a training session as an MR+ you MUST add yourself to the session’s Trello card as whatever you intend to be: trainer, shadow, host, and supervisor. All of these roles excluding the host role are subject to change based on the amount of Trainees.

Next, if you’re intending to be a trainer, shadow, or supervisor you must be in the training server 10 minutes before the session commences. And if you’re the host you must as be there 10 minutes before too but you also have to announce this session 10 minutes before on the group shout with the following template (you can add emojis and make it your own):

Additionally, you must send a message in the discord within the #training-announcments chat using the following template (you can add emojis and make it your own):

A training session is currently being hosted by (Host)! Join the training center to have the opportunity to be promoted! The server will be locking in 10 minutes so join as soon as possible!

As a host, you must repeat this procedure for all situations: 10mins before the start, at slock (start), any delay, at end, any cancellation. And when you do so, edit the templates to abide by such situation.

Main HOST Training Procedure

When the session start time has elapsed and you have shouted and announced that the session has started and is locked, you must lock the server using the :slock command which will disallow any LRs from joining the game. After doing so, you may start the session by introducing yourself, going over rules and expectations, then important information about trainings. The template below has all the information that needs to be said at the start of a training session, you may edit it a little but the topic must stay the same. Also, you must use the :m [text] or :sm [text] to announce the following…

This training session is now commencing, please find a seat. If there are no seats available please stand next to a seat. From now on all PTS, questions, and chats are not allowed.

NOTE: IF ANYONE SPEAKS, WARN THEM, IF THEY PERSIST, KICK THEM! AND DURING THIS TIME ADMINS/MODS MAY START EVENLY GROUPING TRAINEES USING THE !Group [player] [name] command in chat!

With all that being said, salutations! Welcome to this HCC training session. I will be your host, [NAME]. I am here to assist you during this training session! I am also accompanied by my wonderful trainers/assistants!

If you are a Senior Cashier, you will be dismissed at this point unless you are needed, please keep in mind any necessary picking is randomized! Thank you for showing up, it is greatly appreciated and you don’t go unnoticed!

Kick any senior cashiers that aren’t needed - there should be 1 senior cashier per trainer if needed
Please refrain from chatting and pay close attention while I go over some important rules for this training, you may take notes!

Rule I: You are to be respectful to everyone at all times throughout this training session, if you fail to do so you will be removed from the server immediately and possibly
demoted from your current rank.

Rule II: If you fail your training do not argue with your trainer as there will be consequences if done so. Remember, you can always attend another training session.

Rule |||: If and when you pass your training do not leave unless instructed to do so by your trainer or the host. If you leave before being dismissed you will not advance to your next rank.

Rule IIII: Grammar is NOT required to be used inside the training area but is recommended, and always make sure that your sentences are readable.

Rule IV: Try not to disconnect or go AFK during your training. If you do so you will be removed from this training session and will have to attend another session.

Rule V: You may use resources during the training session, besides your peers as that is prohibited.

That is the end of the rules for this training session. If you fail to obey those rules you will be kicked from the server and risk demotion. So, please obey those rules and any other ones that may be brought up by your Trainer. Now, I will be moving on to VERY important information for you to know so you can succeed here at this training session so please remain attentive.

You will be taken through two separate stages, one stage being orders and the other being trivia. Each question or order is worth a total of one point.

In the Trivia Stage, you will be given |||| trivia questions that range from a lot of different topics related to HCC. You’ll also be taken through one trolling simulation where your Trainer/Shadow will act as a troller and you have to deal with the situation as if it’s real and they’re a normal customer. This stage is worth a total of 5 points (1 per trivia question and 1 for trolling simulation).

In the other stage, you will be given five increasingly in complexity, orders, Cashiers will only be given two minutes to complete each order. And all other ranks will NOT be timed. This stage is worth a total of 5 points in total.

In order to pass this training session, Start Cashiers need 8/10 points, Junior Cashiers need 9/10 points, and Cashiers need all 10 points.

If you pass at any point in the training session with the required number of points you are to still be attentive and participate as you will not be promoted until the end of the session.

That concludes all of the information that will be said of me at this point. If you have any questions from this point on you are to ask your trainer about the questions that you may have.

With that being said, TrainERS (and Shadows) please go to your assigned stations. TrainEES, please stay put as you will be teleported soon to the station.

NOTE: WHEN ALL TRAINEES HAVE TELEPORTED MESSAGE EVERYONE THAT THEY ARE ALL TELEPORTED!

After you, the host, have stated all that information and have sent everyone to their stations. You may spectate or help out if needed then be ready to promote once trainees are done being trained. When promoting, go to the group main page and go to edit the trainee’s roles then refresh them to make sure they were ranked and dismiss them (kick if necessary). Once the session is over, make sure to announce that the session has concluded!

Main TRAINER/SHADOW Training Procedure

As a trainer, at the beginning of the session, you can answer any questions that pop up if allowed by the host and you must help out with the following grouping guide:

  • FOR TRAINERS, SHADOWS, AND SUPERVISORS: WHEN THE HOST IS STATING RULES, YOU MUST EVENLY GROUP THE TRAINEES INTO THE TRAINERS BY SAYING “!Group [name] [number]”!

After the host has gone over everything and has released you to your station, teleport all your assigned trainees to your assigned station. Follow these steps:

  1. Welcome your senior cashier if you have one and tell them that they can just spectate and answer any questions!

  2. Introduce yourself & if you have a shadow communicate with them beforehand on who does what!

  3. Introduce your trainer or have them introduce themselves!

  4. Summarize the stages information provided by the host, this may take more than 1 chat.

  5. Transition to one of the stages, you may choose whatever order you’d like.

TRIVIA STAGE
When doing the trivia stage go over resources that can help the trainees, such as the handbook and other resources in order to help them. Then, explain what a private message (PM) is and how to respond. Lastly, review what the trivia stage is and what the trolling section is.

Once done, pm the trainee’s trivia questions about the group, examples below, and give them points if they get them right. Try and make them difficult and not very easy.

Trivia Example 1: Is the flavoring, Fudge available here at the Cafe? [True or False?]
Answer: False

Trivia Example 2: What is the recipe for a Lemon Iced Tea?
Answer: Ice + Blender + Steamed Water + Lemon Tea Flavoring

  • FOR TRAINERS, SHADOWS, AND SUPERVISORS: IF A TRAINEE REACHES THE POINT WHERE THEY WON’T RECEIVE ENOUGH POINTS TO PASS A TRAINING SESSION YOU MAY TELL THEM THAT THEY’VE FAILED, TELL THEM WHEN THE NEXT SESSION IS, AND DISMISS THEM, IF THEY PASS AT ANY POINT YOU MAY TELL THEM AND THEN CONTINUE ON UNTIL THE END OF BOTH STAGES!

After you’re done with all 4 trivia questions, you can continue onto the trolling section but make sure to tell them this vital information beforehand:

We do NOT give warnings to Exploiters, Spammers, or Disrespectful Customers.

If you happen to come across such a customer you are to call an admin immediately and do NOT hesitate to do so.

In the simulation, instead of calling an admin simply step back from the counter and say, “-Calls Admin-”.

But in the case of a trolling customer, you may verbally warn them ONCE and then call an admin.

Then, you can act as a troller or exploiter and see if they pass then move on to the next section.

ORDERS STAGE
When moving into this stage you must regardless of the trainee’s experience, state the following information before saying orders (you may add emojis or make this your own):

In this stage, you will be given five orders. These orders will get more complicated over time.

Once you have completed the order I will ask for it, to give the order to me press the ‘HANT TO’ button on the left-hand side of your screen.

Or, if you are on a PC you can also press the ‘H’ on your keyboard to pop up a GUI.

Once you do so, a GUI will pop up.

Once it pops up you will type in the user’s name to which you’ll be handing the order. It can NOT be abbreviated but does NOT require caps.

Cashiers you will be given a time limit of 60 seconds to complete the order any other rank will NOT be timed.

Lastly, when I say the orders I will NOT repeat them. So, pay close attention and possibly write it down.

With that being said, any questions regarding any of the information that I just told you? A response is required of you.

Then, you may start saying orders one at a time while timing the Cashiers and then giving points as you go. Make sure to increase the difficulty of the orders as you continue.

Once both stages are completed, bring all of your trainees to the promoter (host) and wish them good luck and say your goodbyes!
