Hello, Euroflags!

Dear players,

After a long summer, I am happy to say that Euroflags is finally done. I have tried my best to ensure that Euroflags is a fun and engaging game for everyone. Because of this, the nature of this game is completely different to that of EU Flags, a previous game of mine which some of you may know.

Since 2021, I have been unable to progress in this project for many reasons, such as creativity issues and academic aspirations, which led me to devoting less time towards developing games. This summer however, I found the ultimate plan to elevate my former game into something a bit more enjoyable. Even though EU Flags is still my most popular game to date with around 10k visits and was rated well, it seemed like a sloppy, boring showcase game with a bunch of flags. That’s why I wanted to remake it, but this time expanding across all of Europe, where one can collect a wide variety of European flags.

Features of Euroflags

Euroflags blends ultra realism through high quality PBRs with a simple scavenger hunt mission. I also wanted to preserve the data and facts that EU Flags contained. The main building contains HDI statistics of every country in the game like before, hence the building commemorates EU Flags.

Future aspirations

Regarding whether I will develop another game soon, the answer is yes. As I progress into further education, I will be unable to commit to another project. However, I will have some time in the future to make a new game, and my plan is to make a realistic racing game next. In terms of Euroflags, updates will be minimal, but I will join frequently to check for any bugs/improvements. Game development requires a lot of time which I won’t have for a bit, and I want to sure I am in the right headspace as a small developer to make another high quality game in the future.

Final notes

I would like to thank everyone who has supported and motivated me along the way. I really wouldn’t have done this game without all of you. And with that I say, goodbye to developing for a while, and hello to Euroflags!
