Hello all,
I am building an interior and cannot seem to get the windows to look realistic enough. Below I have posted a photo of what I have now. All suggestions and feedback are appreciated.
Indet the window by 0.1 or 0.05 studs, this gives it some depth.
Try to use different widths within the window, for example, the window frame could be 0.05 studs thicker than the interior of the window frame.
Give depth to the interior frame, the exterior frame should be 0.05 studs in front and behind.
I really feel the curtain is what is your downfall here, for starters you need to add more detail to the rail at the top, split the curtain into 2 curtains so they hang on either side and set transparency to like 0.1, curtains are never that see-through.
You can also try adding textures to your curtains and to your window to add a pattern to your curtain and to add some âageâ to the window.
Also, interior walls are never concrete, you need to all a smooth plastic âwallpaperâ to your wall (0.1-0.3 studs thick in front of the wall ) and donât forget the block at the bottom operating carpet from wall.
For the concrete bit of your criticism, I think he was trying to replicate the bumpy wall paint style.
@AlbrechtLancaster If that is the case you can find plenty of textures based directly off of this type of wall design online or on the Roblox toolbox.
there are neat plugins to find materials that anyone (mostly a builder) should have ready. i suggest âtexture library toolâ as it is one of the best plugins ive ever personally worked with and with such a good interface. it was one of the first plugins i ever installed like 2 years ago and i still keep and use it today: https://create.roblox.com/store/asset/4822976854/Texture-Library-Tool%3Fkeyword=&pageNumber=&pagePosition= (wrong link before edit mb)
