Hey everyone, before actually starting development of my community, I wanted to see what the forum had to say. As most “food” related groups, most game designs revolve around clicking buttons and gathering food tools, but I want to look aside from that. I want to create an innovating bistro game that draws players in.
I have some ideas, such as a potential dish washing system, but I want to see what people would like to do as customers. Imagine yourself as a customer at a bistro, what would you want to do?
Like, should their be an objective that the customer should achieve? I really am looking for ideas to make the customer side experience more fun.
Any constructive feedback would be most appreciated!
I don’t think I’d want to play this because if I wanted to wash dishes I’d just go to my kitchen and do that. My suggestion is to take inspiration from games like cooking mama, papas pizzeria or work at a pizza place.Customers don’t do anything except order and eat. Perhaps you could add a better ordering system making it more fun to order?
I’d say you have players create their own meals, like they can experiment like: What happens if I put cheese and bread together? Then you can have the food in the middle of the screen with confetti on the side saying: “Congrats! You have made cheesy breadsticks!”
