Hey, I have this issue where when I use a seat, whether it be in-game or in Studio, and sit down, the game starts to lag. The lag is caused for any player currently in the server when someone sits down.
I read a topic with someone else having this issue, but there was no apparent fix.
It simply “fixed it by itself”.
I’ve tried making my own seat script.
I’ve tried deleting a great load of light sources surrounding the area, and to my surprise, it decreased the lag by a good lot.
Following the decrease of lag from deleting every single light source, I’m unsure of what to do next. There’s still an annoying bit of lag when proceeding to sit down.
Edit: There’s no lag if the seat is not placed within the building, so I assume it has to do with parts? But is there a way to decrease the seat lag without remaking my build is what I hope for.

I suggest you to look over the scripts one by one, maybe there is a malicious script inside a free model or if you don’t use free models it could mean that one of your developers have been bad.

It’s probably your scripts. If not, a free model with a backdoor lagging script. Otherwise, your game looks to have a lot of parts and I know some games that show lag when sitting.
I have not used any free models, and the only script that I’ve used was the seat one. But before that I tried the regular seat by Roblox and it still lagged.
I have the same darn problem. I have no idea what is causing the huge lag. When you approach the seat, it starts lagging. I have no scripts in the game, this is just weird. I think it’s a Roblox bug.
