Help! Hat appearing weird in blender?

Here is the hat I was trying to import:

How it appeared:

Am I doing anything wrong?

Yes, the texturing and light is wrong.

How do I solve it? Do you know how?

You need to fix the UV map by going into the UV mapping tab and look at how it’s mapped. You can then scale down the shape in there.

I’m so confused. This is what the UV editor is appearing with: Screenshot 2020-05-12 at 13.44.24

I’ve found that, when exporting something from Roblox Studio as an obj, the textures can get messed up. All you’ll have to do is find the original texture and apply it onto the model you imported.

Did you add the texture with TextureId of the mesh, or just import the mesh with texture from blender ?

I just imported it from blender.

Original texture of the handle?

Try to upload your texture in the TextureId of your mesh

Once you fix the lighting, it should be fine. The problem you’re having is that the Pumpkin Kid hat has a black outline that is always visible no matter what direction you look at it from, so it’s basically bound to cause problems without any improvement to the lighting.

Thank you! So you’re saying that I can’t do anything about it unless I fix the lighting?

Thank you so much guys! I figured it out  Screenshot 2020-05-12 at 15.19.11
I know there’s noise, I haven’t set up the scene yet.
