Help learning VFX

Hey i recently came back to some games i played in the past and i saw beautiful Vfxs and i wondered how they do them i know they dont use only particles because i can see 3D parts and any help or guidance would be appreciated also do they animate them using scripts thanks for any answer

Most of them use particle emitters, maybe some swinging VFX use trails, But I think it’s just a ton of different VFX stacked on top of each other, and all of them complement each other. And some use scripts, but it’s probably minor things like tweening position, rotation, transparency, e.t.c.

i mean the colors in the second one are very bright and have a nice color theory but i cant belive there all textures for example this part

i can belive its a texture but how did they bend it and make it scale and do things i know there is a differance of 3 years but how didthey made this i can understand the flip book technique and using scripts to animate frame perfect also the usage of 3D elements to make the person understand something is happening but i dont understand the bend behind it

I don’t play blox fruits, so I can’t see how it animates, but my guess is that is probably a mesh part with a highlight instance inside, and they tween the orientation so it looks like its moving. Might also be a part and inside is a trail with a sine wave if its jumping out of the black sphere.
