Help making realistic graphics

Hello Dev’s! I am making a horror game and i don’t know how to make good graphics. Some roblox horror games look like full on steam games. How do i make realistic graphics?

It’s extremely hard to make realistic graphics with just Studio. It’s very possible, but harder compared to working with Blender. I’d start by learning Blender if you don’t already know it and try to make some realistic assets there. Look up things you may want on your map and just make it with the help of tutorials.

I have blender but my modeling skills there are trash. I don’t know how to even texture in blender. I would try to use blender but i’m trash at it.

You just have to watch tutorials and get better at it. You don’t have to use Blender but it’s really hard to make realistic assets without it. If your looking to work with just Studio then I’d begin by getting a bunch of building plugins to make some things easier. Off the top of my head, Archimedes is good for curved designs. So definitely look into plug ins and just try making them.

custom textures, fake shadows and post processing effects!!

  • use high quality textures made by either yourself or pay someone else to do it. try not to leave a lot of parts untextured, it’ll make your game look less real.

  • use decals of shadows and place them under your objects to make them look more real to low end users. you could also bake your shadows onto your texture in blender but i suck at doing that lol

  • add a colour correction object to the lighting tab in your game. a common theme among realistic games is that they’re not realistic at all, they just turned the contrast up to give the illusion that it’s high quality.

I’ll try that. But first i need to learn how to make fake shadows. (like where to put them)

I can barely make a low poly asset so i can try with building plugins, thanks.

aww thanks. Now i have more faith.

i usually change my studio settings to level 21 graphics to see where the shadows go, then i switch to level 1 graphics to place them down. it’s really not that hard!!
